Safe, personalised care

Why a personalised approach matters

Even on the same face, several scar types may be present. Rolling scars caused by fibrous attachments behave differently from deep ice pick scars or shallow boxcar scars. Treating every scar with one procedure rarely produces the best outcome.
A combination plan may release scar tissue, stimulate collagen, support recovery and improve overall skin quality. The sequence and spacing of procedures are selected after clinical assessment.

Scar revision

How each advanced treatment works

Your practitioner may select one or more techniques based on scar structure, skin type and healing response.

Subcision, releasing scar tissue

A specialised needle is introduced beneath selected rolling scars to release fibrous bands that tether the skin. Once released, the skin can lift while the healing response stimulates new collagen.

TCA CROSS, targeting deep scars

A highly concentrated trichloroacetic acid solution is carefully applied inside individual selected scars. The controlled response stimulates collagen within the scar as it remodels.

Medical Microneedling, collagen induction

Fine sterile needles create controlled micro-channels in the skin. These activate the natural wound-healing response and encourage collagen and elastin production.

PRP, supporting natural healing

A small blood sample is processed to concentrate platelet-rich plasma containing naturally occurring growth factors. PRP may be introduced after procedures such as microneedling or subcision.

Exosome Therapy, regenerative support

Exosomes are microscopic extracellular vesicles involved in cell communication. Selected exosome-based products may be used alongside procedures to support recovery and healthy tissue regeneration.

Polynucleotides, skin regeneration

Polynucleotides are purified DNA fragments used to support repair and improve skin quality rather than add volume. They may be incorporated into a broader scar programme.

Combination strategy

Treat structure, texture and healing together

A treatment programme may first release tethered scars, then stimulate collagen and add regenerative support. The order is selected to protect the skin and allow adequate healing between procedures.

Care guidance

Why multiple sessions are common

Acne scars develop over months or years. Collagen remodelling is a gradual biological process, so meaningful improvement usually requires time and a planned series.

Safety information

What determines suitability

A comprehensive consultation is required before any advanced procedure.

Results and expectations

Aim for progressive, natural-looking improvement

The purpose of an advanced programme is to make scars shallower, soften transitions and improve overall texture while protecting skin health. Results vary, and complete scar removal cannot be promised.

Frequently asked questions

Questions patients often ask

General guidance is provided here. Your consultation is the right place for advice specific to you.

No. Your programme may include one or several techniques depending on scar type, skin condition and goals.

Rolling scars are often held down by fibrous bands. Subcision is designed to release these attachments beneath the skin.

It allows a concentrated solution to be placed precisely inside selected narrow, deep scars to stimulate remodelling.

Yes, PRP may be used with microneedling or after selected scar procedures when appropriate.

Collagen develops gradually over weeks and months. Improvement may continue after the treatment course ends.

Downtime depends on the procedure. Redness, swelling, tenderness, peeling or bruising may occur, and your practitioner will explain what to expect.
